Beautiful resort, helpful and friendly staff, cute parrots in the lobby--it exceeded expectations. The pools were closed "due to inclement weather," of which there was none, so that was a little disappointing, but it didn't ruin the experience. I had lunch at the Oceans restaurant downstairs, and that was delicious. Our waitress was super nice, too.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will go back again.
We were married on a Monday and left NC for the Florida Keys/Bahamas on Tuesday. Arriving in Key Largo Tuesday we were informed that Hurricane Irma would completely disrupt our honeymoon. After being evacuated several times we finally made it back to NC and were not ready to give up on our honeymoon just yet. We booked a room here at the last minute and it was one of the best decisions we have made. Upon arrival they treated us like royalty and after hearing what we had just been through the entire staff went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. They were simply amazing!!! A huge shout out to Anne Marie (sp.??) for the special treats, extra resort bucks, and upgrade to the President's Suite. We could not have been more satisfied with every single staff member. This place is AWESOME!!!
I visited off-season for a corporate function. Four this purpose it was a fine place. The beach was clean and not crowded. We used the pool, the volleyball court and the corn hole boards. Everything was in good shape and we had a good time. The service was friendly and attentive.
When we checked in, Jake at the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful. I did not catch the names of the ladies who checked us out but they were very nice also.
This is one of our favorite places to stay on the North Carolina coast. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff are truly amazing and knowledgeable.
We ate breakfast each morning in the restaurant as well and it was very good. We ordered off of the menu twice and had the buffet the other times. Lots of food choices for all appetites and tastes. Our waitresses, Kristen and Laurie, were very nice and hospitable. Alison and Kat, the last morning were okay but not as friendly as Kristen and Laurie.
We’ve also hosted over a dozen conferences at this hotel and the management team have been a true delight to work with. We aren’t talking about small events either, we typically host 200-250 attendee events and this is our favorite coastal N.C. venue for professional conferences.
I definitely recommend staying at this hotel, and hosting any events or weddings here. I’ve attended a few weddings here myself, and it’s a beautiful location.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. The ocean view was beautiful. We ate supper in the restaurant, Oceans, on Friday evening. Our meal was delicious and our waitress, Sydney, took excellent care of us. There was live entertainment in the lounge adjoining the restaurant that was quite good.
We stayed for a long weekend recently and had a very nice time. The only reason that I am not giving it 5 stars is I discovered after we checked out that we were charged a minimal fee daily for parking and there was no closet with hangers or an ironing board in our room. We really did not need those items but it would have been nice to hang my husband's shirts and our jackets up. The parking fee was not a deal breaker - there is a 2 story covered parking deck that is connected to the hotel which was very nice and well worth paying for. I just wish that it had been noted in the hotel description.
